Aircraft rental

The entire BAT fleet is available for PPL rental, subject to qualifications and currency. In addition to normal hourly rental, BAT operates a Flying Group, which regular users are invited to join. Full details are below.

Requirements

Pilots wishing to rent BAT aircraft must have a valid and current PPL(A) or NPPL(A). The normal currency requirement is six weeks. Before renting, pilots will be required to become a member of BAT's Albatross Flying Club. Membership is available on a monthly or annual basis.

Booking

To check availability and book flying slots, please contact BAT Ops on 01228 573490. If you make a booking and then find that you are unable to keep it, please let BAT Ops know as soon as possible.

Payment

Payment is accepted by cash, credit/debit cards or cheque.

  2. BAT Gold Membership Flying Group members pay an initial joining fee of £500 and a monthly membership charge of £53.63 in addition to the above hourly rate.
